I keep seeing US brands focus on Mexico and Brazil for LATAM expansion, which makes sense given population and market size. But I’ve been digging into Argentina’s market specifically, and I think there’s real opportunity being overlooked.
Argentina’s creator community is smaller than Brazil’s, but what I’m noticing is they’re incredibly sophisticated and skeptical. The audience doesn’t fall for generic influencer endorsements—they want authenticity and real expertise. The flip side is that when creators do endorsements, they tend to be higher quality and more thoughtful.
From a cost perspective, creator rates in Argentina are also reasonable—not as cheap as Colombia, but much more affordable than US talent. And the audience is culturally closer to North American sensibilities in some ways, which means US brand messaging often requires less adaptation than it would in other LATAM markets.
The infrastructure is also more developed than people realize. Payment systems, contracts, and professional standards for creator partnerships are solid. It’s a more mature market in that sense.
What’s holding back entry, I think, is just visibility. Argentina doesn’t get as much attention in marketing conversations compared to Brazil or Mexico, so brands don’t think about it. But for certain product categories—premium goods, tech, education—it could be a really efficient growth market.
Has anyone here worked deliberately with Argentine creators? What was your reasoning for including Argentina in your strategy, or what made you skip it?
