I’m a content creator, and I’ve been working mostly within Russian platforms and brands. But I’m seeing an opportunity with Russian-founded brands that are going global, and I’m wondering: how do I actually collaborate to create bilingual, culturally resonant UGC?
The thing is, I’m not a professional translator or a marketing strategist—I’m a creator who understands trends and can make content that feels natural. But when I think about working on bilingual content for a global launch, I get stuck on questions like: do I shoot two separate videos (one in Russian, one in English)? Do I code-switch? What’s actually authentic versus what feels forced?
I’ve also got questions about logistics. If I’m partnering with US-based creators on the same campaign, how does that collaboration even work? Do we coordinate aesthetics? Do we compare notes on what’s landing?
I feel like there’s a gap here where creators like me could actually add value to brands going global, but I don’t know the framework. Has anyone navigated this? What does a successful bilingual UGC collaboration actually look like?
How do you approach creating content that works across cultural boundaries?
