How do you educate your clients on the value of long-term influencer relationships?

I’m finding it tough to explain to my clients why ongoing collaborations with influencers are more beneficial than one-time deals. They often prefer quick, less expensive solutions. What strategies or examples do you suggest to highlight the advantages of long-term working relationships?

We had this same problem until we tracked how lookalike audiences performed across different campaigns. One-off influencer posts created audiences that barely matched our ideal customers, but long-term partnerships generated lookalikes with 3x higher lifetime value. The longer exposure helped algorithms find our real buyers instead of people who just engaged once and vanished.

Had an e-commerce client last year whose one-off influencer campaigns brought decent traffic but terrible email signups. We switched to six-month partnerships and everything changed - creators started mentioning our email list naturally because they’d actually gone through our automation sequences themselves. Email signups from influencer traffic shot up 180%, and those subscribers engaged way better in our CRM.

Had a fitness client where random influencer posts brought traffic but tanked our Facebook Ads. The problem? People who saw one-off sponsored posts got ad fatigue way faster when our retargeting hit them. But followers from long-term partnerships clicked our paid ads 2.4x more because consistent influencer exposure made them trust us everywhere.
