This is the thing that keeps me up at night: We’re trying to standardize influencer and UGC strategies across Russia and the US, and it feels like every day something slips through the cracks.
The problem is structural. We have people in Moscow, people in New York, people in between. We have Russians who think about influence differently than Americans. We have different tools, different timezones, different approval workflows. And when you’re trying to launch a cohesive campaign across both markets, you need alignment—but alignment across that many variables is hard.
I’ve tried Asana, Notion, Slack—all the tools. But tools don’t solve the fundamental problem: How do you standardize without losing local adaptation? How do you create a playbook that works for both markets without it becoming a generic mess?
Specifically, what I’m wrestling with:
-
Strategy standardization: Do we all follow the same KPIs and strategy framework, or do we let Russia and US teams run their own playbooks? (It’s probably in between, but where?)
-
Best practice sharing: When someone in Moscow discovers something that works, how does that knowledge get to New York before it’s too late? And vice versa?
-
Global partner onboarding: When a new agency or creator joins, how do we onboard them so they understand both the global vision and local nuance?
-
Keeping communication not a nightmare: With timezone differences, async work is necessary. But async communication kills momentum sometimes. So how do you balance that?
Has anyone built a workflow that actually works? Not theoretically, but in practice—something your teams actually follow that keeps things coherent without everyone drowning in meetings?
