Who's actually using the bilingual hub to find collaborators—and what made the partnership stick?

I’ve been lurking on the community network for a while, and I keep seeing professionals making real connections here—US marketers linking with Russian founders, creators connecting across borders, agencies finding partners they couldn’t find through LinkedIn.

But I’m curious about the partnerships that actually work beyond the initial intro.

We’ve made a few connections through the hub—found a talented UGC creator who speaks both Russian and English, linked up with a US-based strategy consultant—but I want to understand what makes these collaborations actually produce results, not just create extra Slack conversations.

I think it comes down to clarity and compatibility. Like, when someone reaches out to me here, I immediately want to know: What’s the actual problem they’re solving? Are we aligned on how success looks? Can we work in different timezones without friction?

What I’m realizing is that the best collaborations seem to happen when there’s a specific, tactical problem to solve—not vague “let’s explore synergies” conversations.

For those who’ve built partnerships through this community: What was the actual turning point where a connection became a real working relationship? Was it a specific project, a clear mutual need, or something about how the person approached the conversation? And what red flags do you look for to avoid partnerships that sound good but never gain traction?
