Instead of reviewing raw content, we were now reviewing AI suggestions, which required its own expertise. Sometimes the AI suggestions missed nuance—like cultural references that looked fine but were slightly off-tone for a Russian audience, or hashtag strategies that worked for US Instagram but not VK.
What I’m realizing is that localization isn’t a process you can compress. It’s complex. AI can help by catching template issues and providing starting suggestions, but the human review still takes time because localization requires judgment about tone, cultural sensitivity, audience expectations, and brand voice.
We’re using AI differently now—as a research tool rather than an automation tool. It flags potential issues, generates options, and handles routine tasks. But humans still make the decisions. And that’s actually faster than trying to fully automate.

What we do: AI generates 3-4 content variants for each market. Strategic team (not junior reviewers) evaluates which variant best serves campaign goals in that market. That’s a 30-minute conversation versus hours of individual review. Faster, better decisions.
The real leverage isn’t using AI to eliminate review—it’s using AI to structure the review so experts can make decisions faster.
From partnership side: when we involve creators in localization feedback, it speeds up review significantly. The creator knows their audience better than any algorithm. Instead of AI + brand review, we do AI + creator feedback + brand review. More perspectives, but actually faster because creators catch things we’d miss and accept suggestions from someone they trust.
It’s a relationship play, not a process optimization.
