I’ve been creator for a few years now, and I used to treat each brand collaboration like a total one-off. New brief, new creative direction, new learning curve every single time. It was exhausting and honestly, I was leaving money on the table because I wasn’t getting better at actually scoping what brands needed.
Then I started looking at the shared UGC campaign playbooks from US-based experts on the platform, and something clicked. These weren’t just templates—they were actually case studies of what works. I started using them as a reference point before pitching to brands, so I could speak their language and show I understood the brief category they were pitching.
What changed is that now when a brand reaches out (especially if it’s in a category I’ve seen before—beauty, wellness, DTC product launches), I can actually guide the conversation instead of just reacting to their brief. I ask better questions upfront, I suggest content angles based on what I’ve seen work, and brands actually respect that because it saves them time.
The part I find most useful is understanding how brands structure campaigns across regions. Like, a US brand’s playbook for a campaign is totally different from how Russian brands approach it. Once I understood that pattern, I could actually customize my offer to each brand’s needs.
I’m not saying it’s perfect—I still have to customize for every brand—but the setup time is so much shorter, and my pitch conversion is actually higher because I’m not guessing at what they want.
Have you used any of those shared playbooks? And if so, which ones actually helped you land more deals or get better briefs?
